What Is Profhilo Body?
Profhilo Body is the ONLY injectable treatment on the market specifically designed for the treatment of body laxity and particularly recommended for the inner upper arms (raisin skin) and abdomen. Ever since the original Profhilo came out I had patients asking for Profhilo treatments that extend beyond the face – these have included the neck, decolletage, hands and above the knees.

How Does Profhilo Body Work?
Profhilo Body remodels the tissue and improves skin laxity by stimulating the production of collagen and elastin. It has low molecular weight hyaluronic acid (L-HA) that hydrates and regenerates the skin and high molecular weight (H-HA) which helps reduce sagging by providing a lifting effect.

Is Profhilo Body Safe?
Yes. It consists of stabilised hyaluronic acid, which is naturally found in the body. It does not have any chemical cross -linking agents, which allows for a safer treatment with little to no side effects.
Does The Procedure Hurt?
Most patients do not feel any major discomfort, as the procedure is quick and the needle is very fine. Topical numbing cream can be used to improve comfort.
How Long Does The Procedure Take?
The treatment is quick. It can be done in 30 minutes, but depends on the size of the treatment area and the amount of injectable used.
Are There Any Side Effects?
As with any injectables, you may experience mild swelling, redness or bruising at the treatment site. This is temporary and normally resolves between 2-3 days after the procedure.
Is There Any Downtime?
There is minimal to no downtime after the procedure. Do not touch or massage the treatment area and avoid strenuous exercise following the treatment, as well as saunas and steam rooms for 24-48 hours.
How Many Treatments Do I Need?
The initial protocol is 2-3 sessions spaced one month apart. This may be modified depending on the needs of the patient.
